Tamper Coffee Xmas Market

This weekend I’m doing a market in the centre of  Sheffield at Tamper Coffee.

I’ve made up a batch of 2 and 3 string tin body ukuleles.

Mostly steel strung and fretless they sound like short scale old time banjos.

Should be putting a few in the shop next week.

The hot apple juice with rum keeps the circulation going.

Ukes in progress

Currently making up a batch of ukuleles in tenor and soprano scales.

These are being made from some beautiful walnut, cherry and bubinga with some bits of maple for bindings and rosettes.

Included in this batch are a couple of cigar box ukes, both sopranos.

I’ve also put in a few pics of a commission which shows off some very nice walnut as well as a bit of inlay work.

Another commission from an Everly Pregnant Brother, finished just in time for the sell out show at the Sheffield Leadmill.

This one was a soprano. The box was dismantled and the top thinned down before being reassembled.

Sycamore neck with some nice reclaimed timber for the headstock veneer.

As usual bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge and piezo pick ups.
